First of all, I enjoy writing fictional stories. It's fun thinking of cool ideas that will leave the reader haning until the end. It usually takes me a long time to think of what to write about, but I guess that's part of the story writing process. The story I wrote is kinda dark and depressing and doesn't make a whole lot of sense until the end. Actually, even the end kind of leaves you wondering. It's really hard to describe exactly what it's about, you just have to read it. Feel free to check out my short story if you want! :)

connections ( or no connections ) to the world.
To be honest, I feel like I am not very connected to the world. I never read the newspaper (except for the weekender because I'm lame like that :)) so I rarely find out what's happening in the world on my own. I never watch the news or listen to the news on the radio either. So, since I don't do any of those things I rely on other people to tell me any "big news." Whenever something "big" happens, either my friends or my family will say "oh my gosh did you hear about...?" I simply say no I have no idea what you're talking about so they tell me about it. Sure, it might be easier just to stop being so lazy or become interested in reading the paper or watching the news so I can find out this information for myself, but whatever. So, basically, long story short, I am not very connected to the world. Locally, however, I do feel connected. I am in the know of what goes on around the town. I text and I have facebook so I get my information (and sometimes gossip!) that way. Personally, I find that texting and using facebook are more interesting ways to get my information. They may not be as accurate or in depth as the information on the news or in the paper ( and there is more inoformation on the news and in the paper) but to me, it doesn't really matter. So, just to summarize all the stuff I just wrote, I don't pay attention to what goes on in the world but I am always in on what goes on around locally.

A whole bunch of nothing
So, I'm sitting here, in my computer room with an empty mind. I wanted to come to my blog and write something interesting for people to read. Unfortunately, nothing is coming to me at the moment. Well, I also just wanted to try this whole blog thing out since I've never had a blog before. I've read some other people's blogs and thought they were really well written. At first I was a tad confused by the whole blog idea, but now I see how it will benefit our class. I am looking forward to using the blog more often in the future. Well, I don't really know what else to write and I'm sorry that all I could come up with is a whole bunch of nothing.
