Pen, Paper and Imagination
Novel writing is something I never thought I would be able to do. When Ms Stronach said that our assignment was to write a novel excerpt 5,000- 7,000 words long I was freaked out! It seemed like it would take me forever to write that many words. To my surprise, I found that once I knew what I wanted to write about, the ideas kept flowing and in no time I had a 7,000 word novel excerpt. The hardest part for me was probably thinking of what to write about. I had to be sure my idea was good enough to make a story out of. Luckily, everything else seemed relatively easy. For some reason, my brain seemed to be full of creative ideas! :) Feel free to read my novel excerpt which I titled Miracles. The title is pretty self explanatory and sums up the main idea in the novel. Open your mind and put the pen to the page- what comes out might just surprise you!
